To what things do you say "NEVER EVER AGAIN" after you have tried them out

Dungeons and Dragons. I once tried to play it with several others and thought there was no possible way it wouldn't be fun! You can even make your own character!

oh my god it was so boring
i swore to never play it again

Eh, get a few friends, put on some music
Relaxing if you've got nothing else to do. It's also hard to get good campaign going if some players aren't interested.

The fact that the DM had no idea what he was doing and had to skim the book constantly didn't help. But even when we really did get started it was just boring and we weren't allowed to freestyle with the plot and stuff nearly as much as I thought. Like I always saw D&D as a thing you and your friends could make all your own stuff up for but IG not. We might plan on trying it again someday. I also cannot take any game plot seriously. It was too not silly.

It's really down to whoever's playing.
I hope you decide to get back into it, it's really fun to play.

I decided to turn the volume on my subwoofer all the way up a few days ago, ended up turning my ears into bells for a few hours.

Add this to your next campaign somehow if you ever

“hordes of screaming milkshakes run from the jewelry shop after a turd landed the floor”

Yeah I wanted to do shenanigans like that but the DM REALLY wanted to make it serious and follow some premade plot that came in his cynder block-sized book with numerous chapters

Still managed to make my character like a dream stan or something with the crying wojack wearing the smiley face mask as my character but thats as ridiculous as it got

The way a dm should do it is leave wiggle room. It shouldn’t be a set plot or else its just a story.

I might make some sort of DND campaign of my own one day with a ton of room for imagination, both seriousness and silliness, just an overall imaginative plot
would that sound nice to you

me as a DND DM:
me: roll for strength
my friends: ok
me: roll for intelligence
my friends: ok
me: now roll for :red:es
one of my friends: for the last goddamn time Ethan, it's called charisma
DM: "Roll for charisma."
Me: "Okay... Nat 20 +5 adjustment points."
