Xbox 360 Traveling Merchant dissappearing: XBOX 360

I play on XBOX 360:
So, the message appears on my screen saying the traveling merchant has arrived, so I look at
the map to find him... and he's not there! It makes me angry because I collect vanity sets for
fun!

Keep searching. He may have fell down a cavern or something.

I've been to all holes on the surface, and mapped everthing down to hell, I would see him!

He should spawn near the other NPCs. Look carefully, sometimes it's hard to see his icon on the map due to it being overlapped by an NPC.

I also look there, but it happened today again.

There's no "death popup" maybe because he's not dying though. And if you can't take a screenshot on 360, take a photo from your phone or tablet of the entire map and we'll help you find him.

And a death popup doesnt appear when I attentionally kill him.
