tModLoader Vanilla Status message help

I need help adding a status message to Moonlord. does anyone know how to do it?

Do you mean some type of text message in the in-game chat when the boss dies?

Use the GlobalNPC OnKill() hook, Main.newText()

You're missing the parameters for the method, let VS fill them in for you

Main.newText I think is how to get access to Terraria's message box thing you use in multiplayer to chat with.
