Weapons & Equip Weapon Imbuing

Good day to you all,
I have a suggestion for weapon imbuing - many weapons can already be given different monikers allowing them to have increase or decrease to stats, though this can take a large amount of money (difficult to accrue unless far progressed) and once achieved, nothing more to aim towards. If weapons could be permanently imbued with either ores or gems, each one having a different specific effect upon the chosen weapon, the options are then greatly increased. Also, or alternatively, if each weapon had a 'tally counter' which gives a stat increase and listed history for each kill, encouraging players to hold on to particular weapons and increasing the intrinsic value.
