What misconceptions did you have when you started playing?

I used to to think that the sunflower was a good weapon and that cactus armor was the best in the game. I was 5 so that must have been why.

Shortly after I first started playing, I found out you can craft leather out of rotten chunks. I assumed it was some super important resource, like wood or silk, so I turned every rotten chunk I came across into leather. Turns out its only used for two vanity items lol.
