What should I use to record Terraria on PC for youtube?

Hi, I am asking for my son as he wants to records videos for Youtube and eventually stream on Twitch. He has a PC that runs windows 10. I know nothing technical about it though. In the past he has tried bandicam for other games and wondered if this would work well. It preferable needs to be simple for us to set up and use and wont cause any lag. Any help would be gratefully received. Thank you.

For recording and streaming. I would recommend OBS: Open Broadcaster Software | OBS

It will take a little bit of setup. And if he uses high quality while recording it might cause some lag. But it is completely free to use this software.

The help section on the website should be able to help with set-up. I don't personally know of another good alternative to OBS.
