tModLoader where all can I code a mod

I started a mod on my families computer but due to the fact that its a family computer I've been unable to work on it as much as i'd like to. I have a chromebook that I use for personal crud and it has at least 2 ways to code with C++. Can I finish the code part of my mod on chromebook and then just move the files into tModLoader afterwards or is there some amount of junk that wouldn't let that work?
If needed I use repl.it, that's what i've been using for something else.

You probably won't be able to run the code on your Chromebook but any text editor would work to edit the code. Though you won't be able to tell what's right and wrong until you go back to the family computer.
