I was playing and then was thinking about combining my spectre boots and turn them into Lightning boots so since my world didn't spawn with an aglet in a surface chest that left my with using wooden crates(since using the official wiki it told me that they drop from them). I'm in Journey Mode so I had the Duplication menu yet after opening 3 stacks of 99 I still didn't get 1 but got everything else.

I'm posting this here to tell other people and to tell devs that I feel that there is something wrong with the drop changes that went down when adding crates and changing crate drops to split Prehardmode and Hardmode ores/ingots.

I got an Aglet after 10 Wooden Crates, and that was the only Aglet in a stack of 99. That's about a 1% drop rate. They can also drop from Pearlwood Crates at the same rarity. They're definitely there, but I don't have the exact drop rate numbers sorry.

I feel you man, it took me over 300 wooden crates to get one single aglet, definitely not worth it...
