In general really. The dome is just another factor. I plan to add a tree on that small dirt mound with the torch on it if that changes anything

Just realized there was an upper line of tiles I didn't see before on closer look. I was only going off the filled in portion in the bottom left/right. Changed my vote to 2 though

I just noticed that too. Still like 1 better, though.

I would say that 1 looks better, it has better visual balance, keeping the focus of the building in the center.

That being said, the build isn't finished yet, so if you add say a large tree on the right you should probably go with 2 to balance out the points of interest in a more natural way.

So that's why 2 looks off to me! The flow of the rooms are perpendicular to the glass wall! I couldn't quite put my finger on it until now. I thought I liked 2 better, but I'm even more indecisive now

ok I did some more fiddling and analysing of the house and any remnant of decisiveness I once had has completely dissipated
if you could tell me why you chose what you chose it would be very helpful for me

I chose 2 because the roof is close to being parallel to the dome.
