I have read that if you modify the entrance to the dungeon too much you can prevent the Cultist from spawning... I have built a room above my dungeon and I was hoping that anyone could tell me whether this will prevent the Cultists from spawning.

It is just too convenient to have a bed over the dungeon for farming, so please let me know if this will not work...

Yes, that'll work.

The entrance has to take some heavy abuse to keep the cultists from spawning. A friend and I tested out the limits in order to block the spawning on a server and it was surprising how much of a spawning range they had.
