What it Terraria have 2 type of worlds?

Classic
Nothing is change?

Explore
This more like the Adventure Mode from Minecraft.
The following is changes:
-Player no longer place or break any kind of block, liquids, wires, furniture, etc.
-Explosive items and Explosives won't destroy anything but still deal damage (Explosives has a cooldown time)
-Evil biomes spreading is disable, even it the world is changes to pre-Hardmode to Hardmode is won't do Biome "Burst"

The closest thing we have is the Hero's mod, where you can edit server permissions for other players.
Not sure if it's on 1.4 tmod yet tho.
