you can quick stack to chests so i don't see why you should have to open chests to get the materials out and craft with them. it would make crafting things a lot easier. like i have my souls in one chest and all my ores in another, so when i want to craft a mech boss summon why do i need to go searching for the stuff in one chest and then i just have to open the other chest and then i can craft it. like if i can already craft based on all the things i have in a chest that is open, why should i have to open other chests to craft something.
 
Cool idea, but I also want my carefully sorted chests to be useful
 
maybe a table or accesery for this
