People always say that there needs to be more summoning items, but within that group, there's an even smaller group that needs even more attention: Sentry summons. There are plenty of suggestions and ideas for regular minions, but not for sentries. This thread is a compilation of my ideas, and my favorites of those that others have had.
Just in case you don't know, let me explain this to you. Sentry summoning items are like other summoning items, but they don't add to the usual minion count. Instead, they have a fixed 1 minute duration. Only one sentry can be active at once, and summoning a new one takes the old one's place.

Summons a spinning Spiked Ball on a chain anchored to a targeted block.

Mining the anchor block of a Spiked Ball - 3.3% (1/30)
Missile Wrench
Summons a missile battery that fires a burst of homing missiles equal in number to the current minion cap. Missiles explode on contact.
22 Summon damage.

Nectar Staff
Summons a flower that fires homing healing bolts at the user (or others on their team).

Mournful Staff
Summons a miniature Mourning Wood that shoots Flaming Spikes and Greek Fire at enemies.

Mournful Staff
Summons a miniature Mourning Wood that shoots Flaming Spikes and Greek Fire at enemies.
Flaming Spikes can penetrate one enemy each.
Greek Fire lingers causing damage over time.
