You are on the ENTRY THREAD.

Hello Terrarians, welcome to the Weekly Spriting Challenge!

The Weekly Spriting Challenge (WSC) is a contest designed for everyone who likes to sprite. You don't need to have talent to participate, you just need to have fun! Our challenge consists on a themed challenge every week, followed by a voting week. Both of these happen at the same time. Voting is open to all TCF members, which means that the winners are decided by our lovely community! We would like to ask you to vote according to each entry's:

Accuracy - This entry was dead-on the theme.

Creativity - This sprite had an original idea.

Efficiency - This sprite is simple, yet adequately conveys the idea.

Style - The sprite followed Terraria's art style guidelines.

Technique - Overall quality of craftsmanship.
Gifs by ~Valid~. He animated the original, still badges.

Please follow these, or your entry might be disqualified.

1. No premade sprites.
2. Only enter with your own art (This means no recolors!).
3. Unless stated otherwise, only one sprite per person.
4. Adhere to the challenge theme.
5. Entries will be accepted until 8 pm UTC, and a new challenge, along with the voting poll, will be around 1 hour later.
6. Changing your entry is allowed, but the new sprite will be included only if you update the original post. For example, make a new post and edit the old one with the new sprite (This is for our convenience). If you do not update your post, the entry displayed there will be used.
7. Be considerate - Only transparent .PNG or GIFs. Poor quality .JPG and images that are grossly oversized will not be accepted (use 2x2 pixel images as the entry, or it won't be accepted).

Additionally, to make it easier for us, the Challenges will follow the following pattern:

1. Mobs (Friendly/Hostile).
2. Tiles (Furniture/Terrain).
3. Weapons/Tools.
4. Outfit (Armor/Vanity).
5. Accessories.
6. NPCs (Townies).
7. General Pixel Art.

More categories can be added if necessary, but this should cover just about anything.
Sometimes, we'll have special challenges during certain times of the year (for IRL holidays, etc.).

Special Theme Time!​

Tiles: sprite the scariest set of 3 (more if you want) pieces of furniture! Fill them with gore, blood, spectral essence... It's your choice!

Taking unfair advantage of widespread arachnophobia, dohoho~

So we have spider chair, table, candle, bed, chandelier, lantern, candelabra, and bathtub. With some extra eyes because why not.

Will most likely be tweaking it for composition and color (it's hard working with spindly legs), but I wanted to get the idea down quickly before I got too caught up with packing for the big move. But if I don't, it's because... well... getting too caught up with the big move... T3T;
