Some advice.
Don't read off of notecards. Just wing it. It's a lot easier that way. Because you then are talking as if you were not reading, but as if you were in real life.
And if it's in front of an entire lecture hall, just act casual and don't care about what people think of you. I know crowds are freaky, but what are they going to do?
Odd question? Do you speak to yourself. As in, think out loud? If so, something I found that helps is thinking there isn't anyone there. Also, most of the people there aren't going to be listening anyway. If anything, just a handful of people plus who ever you have for a teacher. Another thing, rehearse the crap out of that speech.
