Going to let you in on a secret, we don't like banning people unless it is 100% necessary. We like out and out permabanning even less, most of the members that have been permanently banned are those who accumulated enough warnings.

A good moderator wouldn't permanently ban someone simply because they mentioned the name of someone else who was banned.

if you want any assurance that the mods do their job, i am a very old and prevalent member and still have 13 warnings

Still wouldn't pull out the ban hammer right away, they'd look into it more to make sure that you were the same person.
