That wasn't a standalone game, it was made by hacking the ROM of an Earthbound cartridge. That's definitely not legal.

How DULL are you two? Its not hacking. its a fan made game but uses a ROM. Its a FAN GAME, not a literally "ripping out data of earthbound and rewriting it" thing. Its like an undertale fangame, except those are usually made on their own EXE
