PC AFK monster traps

I have lately been trying to create AFK farms but my biggest problem is i want to make timers that activate every 10 seconds and i have not been able to figure out how. I know the spawning basics of mobs and how to force them to spawn on specific platforms.

What do you need this timer toactivate every 10 secs? Two 5 secs timers hooked up together wouldn't work?
