PC All my files are gone

I have roughly 400 hours in Terraria PC, been playing it for years, on the same computer, had several worlds and characters, I recently opened the game again after not playing it for like a year and there is only one character saved and zero worlds, what the hell happened to the rest of my characters and worlds?? They have completely disappeared as if they never existed

Terraria saves player and world files locally by default, you need to explicitly move them to the Steam cloud to store them there. You likely deleted your personal data in /Documents/My Games/Terraria somewhere in that time frame.
