Being killed by grenades, bombs or naturally generated explosives does not drop any coins. I've only tested it in Expert Mode.

I believe this was always the case, long before 1.4 came about. I might be wrong?

Might have been the case before, but I don't think its intended. Going to log it.

If I remember correctly, it will say that you were killed by your own explosives, as if the game thinks the player was the one that placed that explosives
