Game Mechanics Boss Trophies

Is this a good Idea?

My Idea is that boss trophies act like banners, except with half the stats. No changes to sprites or anything else.

Edit version 1:
Just thought of this. Instead of just a random drop chance, they could drop similarly to mobs, e.g. every 20 kills or so. However, unlike banners, it wouldn't get rid of the random drop chance. (Numbers reduced because who fights skeletron more than once normally, as it requires you to kill the clothier?)

So trophies would now give the player a buff against a boss if they were in a certain range ? Interesting thought. Maybe trophies will become more sought after if this is ever implemented and they will no longer be just a "decoration" item.
 
Agreed. The only real purpose for trophies is decoration and to say you defeated the boss. I really like your idea.
