Working as Designed Bug with walls near hammered platforms

When you put a wall near a platform that has been hammered like you can see in the image, you can trespass walls and you can climb them almost immediately!
I do not have mods or texture packs installed, just pure Terraria experience. Material used is common wood.

If I am not mistaken, being able to phase through 1-tile walls with sloped platforms is an exploit that to my knowledge is typically used to enter hoik systems, which I do not think the developers intend to remove, due to the significance hoiking has on advanced contraptions.

I have never been able to make a hoik for some reason.
