You need to throw a copper shortsword at the green slime, not a copper helmet.

Both a copper shortsword and a copper helmet works, and if the corresponding town slime is not already unlocked, this might indeed be a bug.

Hi @Jerre I was able to unlock the town slime by throwing a copper helmet to a green slime. Are you sure that you haven’t already unlocked that slime in that world?
