Corrupted Game??

Okay so my friend gifted me Terraria. I joined him in his downloaded world. He gifted me some items and did some other things.

When I left, I tried making a world. I chose the size, and mode, but it wouldn't process. It would just take me back to the size picker.

Same with creating characters. When I try to make one, it wouldn't show up.

I even deleted my regular account and tried again, but it doesn't work

Moral of the story, I can't play Terraria without a character and map...

Can anyone help me? :(

Corrupted, you say? Did you do a scan once you obtained Terraria? If not, that should be your first course of action.
 
I have scanned Terraria, yes, but I don't mean corrupted as in files etc.

I mean, those 2 features don't process. Character and World creating

Hmmmm... I suggest a restart of the game and one for your whole computer if things aren't working too well.
 
Okay, I restarted my computer, and Terraria, about a dozen times now, and its still not working.

Perhaps something to do with downloaded maps.
