Disconnecting controller causing issues with keyboard controls

Maybe someone can verify this one.
- Launch the game with a PS4 controller connected to your PC
- Connect to a server, observe WASD and ESC don't work
- Doing any of the following did not fix the keyboard shortcuts from working
Disconnect the controller from the PC
Restart the game
Verify the files on Steam
Delete the config files from My Games\Terraria
Reinstall the game

I've gone in and set the keyboard shortcuts to the default numerous times and it still doesn't fix the issue.

I hope this is just a simple fix that I overlooked. Any ideas?
 
I found the solution to this one. The last post from Troli fixed this issue.

PC - Key Binding Glitch

I'm trying to change my key bindings and when I do and I try and leave the key binding menu It won't let me. I click the back button and nothing will happen. I'm in 1.3.5.3.

Reporting this one again. It broke in the same way after launching the game the next day (My PC was off the entire night). Doing the fix in the post I linked fixed it again.
 
I'm not sure if this is the issue in play here, but Terraria does not have native support for PS4 controllers. You may need additional drivers/programs to make it work properly.
