PC Fishing Location Problems

I've fished a lot in 1.3, and I've noticed one thing. When a task from the Angler tells you to go into caverns, underground or on the surface without any other specification, you can't catch the fish if it's in the hallowed or corruption/crimson. I can go into the corruption and then fish up an entire inventory of clubberfish or whatever they're called and not get a thing, while if I go to the only pure area in the world, I can fish it in 2 tries. I have over 150 fishing power usually. I don't think this is luck because this is what has happened for everything. With that said, I'm wondering if any of you have encountered similar walls and if you could share anything about this.

When it says Surface/Underground/Caverns it does indeed mean *PURE* Surface/Underground/Caverns.

AFAIK, Snow biomes are different, if it says Snow Underground..... Hallowed/Corruption/Crimson Snow Underground should work.

This is why you should try to keep a "center forest" pure, by digging some trenches before Hardmode. Or grab a clenaminator, or just skip the ones that say Underground/Caverns (the ones that say surface, you can build a lake a bit above the ground as soon as the background changes to forest).

Remember -- it doesn't matter what the walls of the lake are made out of, the biome you're standing in is what matters (background/music that's playing).

Also, what are the background walls for cavern snow biome? I need to get scaly truffle.

Ice rocks. You should easily be able to tell if it counts as snow; the snow biome has its unique music which takes priority over corruption/crimson.

Ok, Ive figured it out. Clentaminator to turn my snow biome into a hallow.
