Switch FIX SMART CURSOR!

I can no longer hold my pickaxe and switch to tor hes with auto select, then place them with smart cursor. Im forced into build mode. Please fix this issue. Its ridiculous that they ever removed it. I cant run from enemies and place torches to light my way anymore. I cant place torches on the fly at all really. Its ridiculous. It was working just fine with zero issues before and then it just gets up and removed. Please fix this. I waited over a year for 1.4 to come out on switch, its the only platform i have. Then when it finally does, the one quality of life feature i utilized the most gets straight up removed. What the hell??

I'm not sure what the problem is here, is it smart cursor like in the title or is it auto select?
If it's smart cursor, have you tried going into controller setting > Advanced > smart cursor toggle > all items
If it's auto select, just bind it?

Auto select still exists, on every platform (not sure about old gen/3ds tho)
you just gotta bind it in the options
