PC Gemspark waterfalls don't combine with other colors.

While playing Terraria, I discovered that gemspark-colored waterfalls were not combing whatsoever.
I tried every color combo, and combining from different angles. Nothing.
I changed every video setting I could to see if that would fix it.
I restarted my world, then my game, to see if I could reset the lighting engine, but without success
It also doesn't work in multiplayer mode.

What do you mean by "combining"? Like, green and white combining to make a lighter green?

Exactly. Red and Blue don't make purple (although I get that there is Amethyst. Just roll with it).
I really want white and red to make pink.

I did see that. I was hoping to replicate it. Alas, my creativity was snuffed out.

Well, I don't know where that screenshot came from, but I went back to 1.3, and I couldn't make this happen . . . if this was a thing, it must have been broken/removed years ago.

Either that or there are some very specific conditions to cause it to happen (various lighting/settings configurations)

I think it had been that way since 1.2.4.x and then broken again.
