Killing two birds with one stone. This little jerk'll flit around the marble cave, bat-style, trying to turn you into meat loaf. It's not particularly dangerous, thank Christ, but it's a little annoying through virtue of being the tankiest goddamn bat out there.
It drops 10-20 marble blocks when you kill it, so that's the marble renewability problem solved. It can also give you this little thingy...
