Npc aren't doing much, can't use mods because you don't know how work one proper, NPC are always uselss in front of battle? Well get your forum ready for suggestion for players to enjoy having tons of buddies are still type NPC, but can really fight back way better and hit hard.

- Golem

* Golem can be made in station on workbench depending which matter materials will effect the golem's abilities like becoming a ranger, warrior, or a mage, but require more materials after that
* Golem while being made it will become an item where you can set them down on floor so that you can prepare to get that certant material
* The materials requires make golem obey in your command you need require some spirit (not soul) from fallen enemies or some what in chest might have some spirits
* As requiring for the golem they will need instruction from the player by clicking on them the simple command is follow, protect, patrol, gathering, and lollygag (lollygag is a joke) for patrol they will stay in few radius at lest 30mm doing left and right, protect is protect certant NPC you want to keep alive, but you can also tell the golem protect the other player and follow is simple order to follow you whatever you go so they will appeared at your side like a ghost or floating object coming at you, for mining golem, they will wonder off, but will come back once their inventory is full (about like at lest 4-6 item different type and the stacks is about 10 - 30 each these stacks, materials depend the ores and location its at), they will come back to the house you selected come back and stand there, or you could simply order it put the items in the chest and waiting in your command.

* Golems can get dmg or not in opertived if their health goes zero which you can repair them by buying from merchant which several items can repair certant goelm. Woodsaw glue repair wooden golems, cement repairs stone golems, sawders and metal rods can repair metal golems, mana crystal can repair crystals golem

* If you have too many golems in game you can remove them even thou they are actived, non-actived or broken down which simply remove them by using pickaxe and they will become an item again and you can store them in the chest

* Golems certant some ways can be upgrade to certant tiers to make them stronger, faster, more in hp

* Upgrading Golem is go and use the spirit upgrade it and there will be tier to make it stronger

* Yes you can heal the golem if they are dmg

* requires work bench to apply making golems


* Wooden Golem requires 100 woods, 50 spirit. (tier 0, Archer)
= wooden teir 1: 100 spirit , tier 2: 150 spirit, tier 3: 200 spirit, tier 4: 300 spirit, tier 5: 350 spirit + 200 woods
= HP: 80, SPD: little faster regular run, ATT: 60
= Tier 1 +10% speed, 5% dmg, 5% hp, 10% fire rate / Tier 2 +10% Speed, 5% dmg, 5%Hp / Tier 3 +5% speed, 5% attack, 5% hp, 5% fire rate / Tier 4 +5% dmg, 5% fire rate / Tier 5 +5% fire rate

* Stone Golem build requires 200 stones 65 spirit (tier 0, Guards / miners )
= Stone teir 1: 150 spirit , tier 2: 200 spirit, tier 3: 300, tier 4: 350, tier 5: 400 spirit, 300 stones.
= HP: 100, SPD slower then human (by 10%), ATT: 75
=Tier 1: +10% HP, 10% DMG, 5% SPD, Tier 2: 10% HP, 5% DMG, 5%SPD, Tier 3: 5%HP, 5% DMG, 10% Fire Rate, Tier 4: 5% HP, 5%DMG, Tier 5: 5% DMG

*Metal Golem (Specal Type) 100 bars, 80 Spirit ( teir 0, Guard Tanker)
= Metal Tier 1: 200, Tier 2: 400, Tier 3: 600
~ Copper/Tin Golem HP: 110, DMG: 90, SPD: slow then human
~ Iron/Lead Golem HP: 115, DMG: 95, SPD: slow
~ Sliver/Tengue Golem HP: 120 DMG: 100 SPD: slow
~ Gold/Platinum Golem HP: 125 DMG: 105 SPD: slow
= Tier 1: +15%HP, 15%DMG, SPD 5%, 5% Firing Rate, Tier 2: 15% HP, 10% DMG, SPD 5%, 5% FR, Tier 3: 10%HP, 5%DMG

*Crystal Golem (Special) 200 crystals, 1 gem (like ruby, emerlad, sapphire, amethst, diamond, and topaz), 100 Spirit
= Crystal tier 1: 150 spirit, T2: 300, T3: 450, T4: 600 spirit & 5 Gem (same gem as crystal golem is using)
~ RG HP: 70, OF: 5sec , DMG:120, SPD: very slow
~ EG HP: 70, Poisoned: 3sec, DMG:110, SPD: very slow
~ SG HP: 70, Chilled: 3 sec , DMG: 100, SPD: very slow
~ AG HP: 70, Darkness: 10 Sec, DMG: 115, SPD: very slow

The other idea is the old mercenaries forum long ago and never got pass, but little changement idea.

- Mercenaries

* Making the mercenaries board
= require workbench, 10 wood, 5 Leather, 1 silk, 1 black ink to make a mercenaries board, which you can place down anywhere of any time
* Making a payment for mercenaries
= simply click on it, then select what type tier, what type classes, which the higher the tier the more likely costly it becomes
* rating tier how much money in the tiers
~ Warrior: T1, 20 C/ T2, 50 C/
~ Mage: T1, 40 C/ T2, 1 S/
~ Ranger: T1 25 C/ T2, 60 C/
~ Healer: T1 35 C/ T2, 80 C/
~ Gather: T1 15 C/ T2, 40 C/
~ Bard?: T1 60 C/ T2, 20 C+1 S/
* Classes does
~ Warrior Meleer
~ Mage is caster magic
~ Ranger is archer
~ healer is the simple medic
~ Gather is NPC collect items around
~ Bard is a support buffer
* Classes will get better armor the higher the tier they go
* You can dismiss mercenaries
* Mercenaries can be killed or go poof if they aren't being healed offten
* simple command for Gather
~ collect world materials (gather any matierals it can get)
~ collect ores (gathering any ores)
~ collect plants ( gathering any plants)
~ collecting fish ( gathering any fish)
~ collect woods ( gathering any woods)
~ collect stones ( gathering any stones type like)
~ Put in this chest (simply click the word put in this chest then click on a chest you wanted come back 1 time to place the items it got into the box)
* Warning using the Gather, when temp sending them there is a chances they might die
* Simple command for classes are not Gathers, you can tell them to protect NPC, Guard the spot, patrol, follow or stay.

The payment issue for the mercenaries I am not going write the whole thing down because its pain the bottom and I am getting tired and same time I been drinking quite little bit alot lately.

This would be pretty cool since there is almost zero automation in terraria for mining but that would be its only use. Enemies don't spawn near houses except during events and a summoner weapon would be more useful.

true, but sometime summoner weapons doesn't go though walls, if your beginner summoner, you will have thous vodoo guys who keep following you around, they don't aim at the enemies and they do less dmg certant enemies, the NPC doesn't have the strength beat hoard invasion if they are place in the wrong room including the bosses. Summoner class are weak in hp and defs, that why I think still need guards still in the game for that fact.
