In PvP, the whole point is to kill other players. And in Journey Mode, there is increased placement range. So if you're fighting someone who tends to stay close to the ground, I have a tip:
Land Mines can be placed every tick. So if someone is on the ground, you can hold down the place button on a block next to them to deal 250 damage every tick.*
*This won't actually hit every tick because iframes exist.
Also, this will be more effective the more placement range you have.
EDIT: I just remembered that you don't even need PvP on to do this. But watch out, landmines are expensive.
