I want to make a simple mod! Help!

I've always wondered why there isn't an endless ammo item for rockets. There's one for arrows, one for bullets, but none for rockets. And since that there's a rocket version of Shroomite headpiece, rockets should be treated equally to arrows and bullets! So why no endless rocket item?!
I want to change that.
The mod is simple: add an Endless Rocket Box, which is crafted with 3996 (four stacks) Rocket I (the most basic rocket) at a crystal ball

I have some experience with coding so I'm pretty sure I should be able to pull it off somehow
I'll work on a sprite tomorrow, which I will upload here.

i don't really know how can you make such a mod but it's not necessary since some people have already done mods like that one you're talking about.
