I could join other people's server but I cannot host mine. What went wrong?

You have to give us more information than this, are there error logs, did you use the dedicated server software, did you set it to "Off?"

I got stuck at "Starting server..." phase. Yes, it shows as Off status.
I did not use the dedicated server software, as it turns out to be non-responsive (I even downloaded the latest dedicated server client).

Upon verifying the game, I always get that 1 file that failed to validate and will be reacquired no matter what. Sucks that my friends can host but I can't.

Update: I found out that I can host multiplayer on other computers (Internet Cafe) and not on my computer at home.
Any troubleshooting suggestions you can help out guys? I've tried the clean re-install of the game.
