Is Console & PC cross-play being considered?

Currently waiting it out on other games for 1.3 on console, but it seems it was delayed in order to remake it with PC architecture. Is Console & PC cross-play being considered added as an official feature due to this? I could definitely see Terraria run on Windows 10 with Xbox at the very least. Is any sort of cross-play even possible in this situation? Microsoft especially is trying to connect their Windows 10 and Xbox users, and I feel at the very least that would be a good idea in the future!

I'm sure that would fall into the category of "Console and Mobile Hacking." I don't know how, though.

As of now, no.

This is because the PC version currently and traditionally has always had updates ahead of the console userbase and due to it primarily being a port to an ever expanding game.
