laser machin gun vs vortex gun

i have resently beaten the lunatic events and i am wondering which one of these fast dps weapons is better.

ps with the machin gun i use the mana flower so it dosent stop but with the vortex gun i use endless musket pouche.

two entirely different damage types

i think vortex beater is better in general though because it gets to the damage right away instead of needing to rev up like the laser machinegun does, there's also no damage falloff to deal with either since you're using musket pouch instead of mana flower with it
