It would be interesting if there was sword with mana cost and magic damage.

Very fast speed
Crafted with 10 iron bars, amethyst and fallen star at anvil

Flame blade
30 magic damage
Costs 3 mana
fast speed
Crafting: magical iron broadsword and 5 hellstone bars at hellforge

Sword of night
85 magic damage
Costs 4 mana
Very fast speed
Crafting: broken hero sword, 15 souls of night, 5 souls of might and 5 hallowed bars at mythril anvil

Its item that acts just like normal sword but costs mana and gets bonuses from magic armor.

A close ranged magic weapon is a interesting idea,but i think the damage is kinda low,maybe try buffing it to 12-14 damage.

Its just an example. Maybe also some weapon made out of souls of might and broken hero sword?

It's kind of... pointless. A melee character won't use it because their buffs go to... melee weapons, so they can't get the buff to damage. And mages usually only resort to melee weapons because they're out of mana, rendering a melee weapon that consumes mana almost worse than useless.
