Biomes & Nature Make the Hardmode V generated upon killing the Wall of Flesh affect the Tundra

As it currently stands, the Tundra is not effected in any way whatsoever by the V. However, it can still be corrupted by both the hallow and your worlds evil biome, so why on earth is it specifically protected from the V, when no other biome is?

Having it protectd by the V forces players who are unlucky enough to have their hallow caught in the Tundra to create an artificial surface hallow biome which is, while not difficult, is time-consuming for no real reason.

I am legitimately baffled as to why this is still the case, especially after Labor of Love. Maybe it's because being corrupted could make getting the Ice Golem's drops harder? If so, why is the desert not protected, when being corrupted can make it harder to get the Sand Elemental's drops.

For these reasons I believe the Tundra should be changed so that the Hardmode V affects it, as it does with every other biome in the game.

But the Hardmode V does go over and affect the snow biome. The ice blocks become infected turning the biome into the Corruption/Crimson/Hallow snow biome. Now granted compared to the desert there are almost no infected snow enemies or exclusive items but the Hardmode V definitely affects the surface and underground snow biome.

As Russ stated above, Ice Blocks do become Purple/Red/Pink Ice which spread their respective biome. I do think we should get some more exclusive underground ice biome enemies in hardmode though, Especially in their infected variants. IIRC the only unique enemy that spawns there is the Pigron

Yeah, Pigrons are the only enemies exclusive to the infected snow biome which definitely could be changed. For new infected ice enemies, we could have Cursed Flame/Ichor Ice Elementals that inflict their respective debuffs plus Chilled instead of Frostburn and Crystal Shard Ice Elementals whose ice blasts exploded into shards like Crystal Bullets. Infected Snow Flinxes could also be added. They could move super fast, be almost immune to knockback, and just overall be much more powerful than their Pre-Hardmode counterpart.

Also, Pigrons should be moved to the ocean because it makes very little sense for them to be in the snow biome. They could be fished up from the ocean (just like Duke Fishron) when the ocean becomes infected (the chance for fishing them up could be boosted by using glowing snails as bait). They could be rarely fished up in several different colors (including the original three which would no longer have any connection to the Corruption/Crimson/Hallow) and the chance of catching them could be greatly increased by using Glowing Snails as bait.

I definitely like the idea of the infected elementals and flinxes, but I do think Pigrons are okay in the ice biome. There seems to be some loose connection with the ocean and ice biome creatures, with stuff like the frozen mermen there and such, but I would definitely enjoy seeing pigrons in the ocean as well. So I'm split 50/50 on them being removed from the ice biome

yeah, agree with @Russ_Guss_Doodles though it might also worths noting that snow (blocks. not the biome itself) is non-corruptible, which is probably the reason it confused the OP, not as much the lack of the corrupted snow enemies.
Yeah, that makes more sense, especially since on the surface there is more snow than ice. I guess we’ll just have to wait until OP responds to know what he meant.

There's definitely a frozen ocean theme in the ice biome, but to me, it feels like the Pigrons don't fit because of how goofy and out of place they look. With the Ice Mermen, Undead Vikings, and Ice Tortoises you can tell they used to live in a warmer aquatic environment that has now frozen over. Pigrons on other hand are brightly colored mini Duke Fishrons that show no sign of being affected by the frigid environment.

Pigrons also show no sign of being affected by the Corruption/Crimson/Hallow, unlike other enemies like Mummies, Desert Ghouls, Sand Sharks, and Mimics. No diseased flesh, exposed bone, ichor dripping from the mouth, or glowing crystals growing on their body. Just brightly colored pig dragons that share almost no resemblance to the biome they are presumably infected by.

To me, it just makes more sense for Pigrons to live in the ocean where their larger mutated leader Duke Fishron can be found. However, I would be content with them staying in the ice biome if they got a sprite update that got rid of their vibrant colors and added some details that show the environment's effect on them.

That makes sense, They do look pretty healthy compared to stuff like the Floaty Gross and Clinger. I can excuse the Hallow one since the Hallow doesn't really degrade as much as the other 2 evil biomes but yeah, I think a sprite update on them would be very nice. The corruption Pigron does have it's teeth curved like the Devourer's Worm Teeth but that's the only actual adaption I see. I'd definitely enjoy seeing pigrons more in line with their current biome, with cursed flames/ichor/crystal shards on them

This was mainly what I was talking about, yeah. Having snow be non-corruptable means that If you were unlucky enough to have your Hallow cross into it, you get no natural surface Hallow (And this has happened in my most recent playthrough.)
