I usually focus more on melee, but I practically use items from every class.

Amarok with a Yoyo bag, or Bananarangs (But bananas are way harder to get, so probs not)
I personally recommend Warding, but some people like Menacing.

For damage:
Warrior’s emblem
Putrid Scent

for defense:
Flesh Knuckles
Ankh Shield (Actually, wear it all the time)

and obviously, Titanium armor.

Other accessories
Good wings (Harpy, ice, etc)
Shield of Cthulhu (optional)
Yoyo bag

Duke is fairly fun. But I always use Master Ninja Gear, along with a Bubble Gun.

I like the bubble gun, as since it’s always flying at you, and the gun leaves a trail of bubbles, Duke gets hit by every single one. I found it surprisingly powerful against Duke and Enraged Plantera, being ineffective against all the others.
