The Dark Realm
"The reality where true creatures lurk... "

A dimension of Terraria, which is the result of using a Reality Gem, which is dropped by Moon Lord. It is characterized by a purplish-white sky at day, and purple or red (depending on world evil) atmosphere at night. It is almost the same as the Surface of the world. There are a few shrines located here, with some loot. The Dark Realm also contains the Shadow Tower and Grim's Labyrinth.

This sounds like it would be interesting, but terraria can't handle separate dimensions.

Dimensions wouldn't fit with terraria but it would make a great mod.

This would work better if the Reality Gem activated some kind of event instead of creating a dimension.

What I thought was, once the player used the Reality Gem; he will be transported to the dimension with no means of traveling back to the original world. His only way back if to defeat a Moon Lord-like boss. Celesta was the name I thought of.

The only way that would work is if it generateted a new world, and spawn ed the player there.

This is a good idea! Unfortunately, I don't think it would be too nice if the realm guardian shows up directly after the exhausted player defeats the Moon Lord. It would be a great mod.

Like the others have said, Terraria cannot handle alternate dimensions. But implementing this as a mod would be great. Possibly the ML esc boss could be his brother, Cthulhu? That would definitely fit with the reality theme! The monsters could be more alien though. It could be like the world before Cthulhu cultivated it.
