I know that the base damage for the Optic Staff is 30, but is it 30 total with the twins or does each twin do 30?

I'm not sure to be honest. You'd have to watch closely how much damage is dealt as each one attacks something and compare that to the creatures defense.

Actually come to think of it i think I saw one of the twins do 17 damage to an enemy, so it may be 30 total.

You have to factor in the enemies defense, you can look that up on the wiki
