Anyone who has tried to paint on mobile has the same problem that makes them scream in injustice... The paintbrush and paintroller items can only paint the object at your character's waist, not where you point towards...

Painting walls is simple enough, just remove the floor to paint the bottomost wall, then replace the floor. Same for the roof to paint the uppermost wall. However, reaching the uppormost walls usually require jumping and flying constantly if the room is big enough. Alternatively, the usage of ropes can help in painting with far better control, though requires placing and removing ropes afterwards.

Painting blocks however is seemingly impossible, no? Not quite...

There is a way for blocks to be at the reach of your paintbrush! Inactivation!

Using Actuators and wire, inactivate the blocks you wish to paint and step into it and start painting! Remember that you paint the block at your waist, so plan accordingly when actuating the blocks! Platforms can also be painted with a paintbrush, though do not require actuation as you can already go through them.

Block painting rules of other versions of Terraria still apply, some blocks can only be painted with Deep paint, so if basic paint isn't painting the block, try Deep paint made at the Dye Station, though requires two of that type of paint!

Special mention to white, black and grey paints which don't seem to paint in any color, instead leaving the painted surface the same color as if it weren't painted.

Here's to the day Painting tools get the same control mechanics as Wire tools!

Actually, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but iOS already has the "normal" painting controls. I don't know what it's like on other devices, but this is already a little bit outdated for us.
