Secret World Seed PVP Campaign race seed.

Terrarian
Ever since I started playing Terraria with my friends, I've had this nagging dream in my mind. What if instead of cooperating with my group of 4 friends to complete the story of terraria in a playthrough, we instead split into groups of 2, taking either side of the world and racing to complete the Moon Lord first in a PVP death race. After all, all the elements required were basically there. The ability to join separate parties, being able to enable PVP, Oceans being on both sides of the map, and corruption/crimson being generally accessible from either side as well. The opportunities for griefing were endless as well, with invisibility potions, wormhole potions, various kinds of dynamite. I envisioned a playthrough where we would tunnel under our teammates to set dynamite under their bases, not only to grief them but to also make their housing not viable so we could steal NPCs for our own progression. Building dynamite proof bases would be a counter to mole men. Even trapped doors and false entrances that could be booby-trapped.

What I'm getting at is a seed that would facilitate a 2 team death race to finish the campaign would be nice. Some suggestions would be to have a dungeon on both sides of the world, maybe even shimmer. NPCs could be invisible on the map so that they can be hid better. The jungle could be situated in the middle of the world so that it becomes a no man's land as well as facilitate tackling the multiple bosses in the jungle throughout the game. Summoning the Moon Lord would cause him to only aggro one one team. I wouldn't go as far as mirroring the world. Maybe there's some variety to be had with one side having a desert and one side having a snow biome and meteorites spawning randomly, forcing players to cross one another's' bases to collect important loot.

some things i am thinking so first most worlds are big enough that you could avoid someone very easily first youd have to go underground to get ores now there is no reason to stay on your side if you start from the right spot your extremely unlikely to see each other even on a small world however more so if you check the map to see where they are if you find somthing important on their side like lets say golem temple that is the perfect place for traps and you have a free advantage how would you get the npcs to follow you and also killing players in minecraft will make them lose their items but in terraria just 15 seconds and they will revive this will just slow them down but not by to much all the work of setting a trap would be ruend by the fact that it will generaly work once and take more time to set up then it block and there are more things this is a cool idea but it has alot of issues to work out

I like this.
Not just as an seed to play with friends that i dont have but also as a fun mixup from normal seeds.
It should be Called the "2Factions" seed.

I can see how that could be a pain to work out. Maybe a potion to point towards an enemy player for a brief period of time? And maybe a forced spawnpoint for either teams on either side of the map? Maybe the NPCs could be allocated to a new house only if the old one doesn't meet housing requirements.

ok not bad fixes but it still doesnt fit the traps isue i love the idea of players being encoraged to trap eachother but this is pointless bexos of this
killing players in minecraft will make them lose their items but in terraria just 15 seconds and they will revive this will just slow them down but not by to much all the work of setting a trap would be ruend by the fact that it will generaly work once and take more time to set up then it block
making them lose their items is to much but somthing needs to be done to make it more trap and kill full

TLDR: Suggesting a world seed with 2 dungeons and some other features that encourage and facilitate 2 teams playing the campaign antagonistically. Maybe as a race to moon lord.

Money is not a bad resources to loot from players given the goblin tinkerer’s prices. It’s also worth mentioning that all loot in and out of chests outside of players’ inventory and piggy banks are stealable, forcing players to be more selective and careful with what resources they keep in hand. There’s bound to be resources that have to be stored away. Those chests could be found with spelunker potions if hidden or they could be trapped. Just spitballing here.

it sounds interesting, but it makes me wonder how the chances of grieving could/would affect creativity regarding building. if you build a wooden shoebox, it matters much less if someone of the opponent team throws a dynamite at it, but if you build fancier stuff, that would be just really bad.

also, I wonder if it would be possible, to have a world feature multiple natural spawns, according to team or something.

and I wonder what would be a better approach regarding NPCs. whether to try to steal them, or instead, have a big, neutral town in the middle of the map, which all teams can access. but maybe it's best without specifying it, so it's up to the players what sort of way they choose.

How will this work in singleplayer?

ok but in that seed i would be speed runing and wouldent get much mony and as for the chests i think you can craft locked and get vaults
