Hello, this is my first post in T-MEC (as I'm not so much of an mechanic...), here I've created a small and simple device, which is made after my idea on Signal Limiter in my thread: A few device suggestions
Signal limiter is a device, which allows the signal to pass only a limited number of times, for example, a signal that can pass only once, and after that the device locks itself, disallowing any more signals.
First example
Signal passes only once, then device is locked. Red wire transfers the signal, yellow wire resets the mechanism.
To increase the number of signals that can pass before lock, simple flip-flops are used: here it allows 8 signals to pass before lock.
Second example
You have 4 buttons, and you can press only one of them, after which the mechanism is locked. Yellow again resets the device.
This mechanism can be very useful for adventure maps, for example in creation of bonus rooms, where you can choose only one door which leads to a chest with some prize. Making some mini-game which has player "lives", after which gets locked and player can't enter it anymore.
