tModLoader tModLoader is a virus?

after screwing with 1.4 workshop and stuff everything was ok but tModloader has a virus? I wasn't even using tModLoader. Could steam workshop contain viruses?
 
Neither tModloader or the Terraria steam workshop contain viruses. It's most likely your antivirus being overly cautious of an application that it's not familiar with.
 
For starters, I do want to clarify that Steam Workshop and tModloader are 100% different things with no relation. Using Steam Workshop would not suddenly result in tModloader being a virus, or vice versa.

To be on the safe side, I would bring it up with the tModloader devs on their Discord, if you want to reach out about it, but it is most likely a false positive.
 
various antivirus programs flag tmodloader as malicious every time tmodloader updates, just whitelist it in your program
