NPCs & Enemies Town pets

I like the town pets and I enjoy the interactions but I would like a second option. Could we play with them too?

So my idea would be

Fetch with the dog
Feather Wand with the cat
Feeding the rabbit
Skipping with the slimes

Items for pets only to interaction with, mostly to sleep in. At the moment it looks like the pets have only wondered in and don't 'live' in the houses. Items should be needed just to had to the pet owners life.

Dog bed - made with 20 silk at work bench
Cat tree - made with 15 wood and 5 rope at work bench
Rabbit hutch - made with 15 wood and 5 iron at work bench
Slime hut - made with 20 wood at work bench

Perhaps feeding the rabbit a (visual only) bundle of carrot or radish tops? I had a bunny once who absolutely loved radish tops
