tModLoader [TUTORIAL] Shockwave effect for tModLoader

i've been having a problem compiling it and it says this, how do i fix it?

I've tried this in tried this in tModLoader 1.4 alpha, and it doesn't seem to work.
GetEffect() gives me an error that it does not exist.
I'm having this problem, too. Any updates on why or what the fix is?

Update : Got it. Seems like some of the reference trees have changed. If you use the tMod source code on GitHub, you'll be able to follow along in the ExampleMod folder.

However, the dye given in the mod isn't nearly as expansive as I want it to be. Specifically, I'm looking how to reference a vanilla dye (Reflective dye, specifically) to add it to some of my dyes. I'm aware of uLightSource, but I'm not sure how to use it right now, especially considering the 1.4 update seems to have changed up a few things.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Now that you mention it in your post, how could I make the pillars effect?
Just apply this effect and bind it to an NPC?
