This is Terraria Expert Mode. You have just started a new adventure, but you are almost definitely not prepared. For how hard normal mode is, I am very surprised that the developers came out with an expert mode. People obviously just like torturing themselves. So, that's why I have decided to create a guide for expert mode. This guide will have gear and whatnot for all of the classes, but it won't have guides for each class in each biome.

Starting Out
The start of Terraria is one of the hardest things. You only have copper tools, which although they are amazing in normal mode, the developers decided to make all enemies IMMUNE to them. You can't hit them with any of your starting tools, and good luck mining, because the only thing the copper pickaxe can mine is dirt, stone, and any other substance similar to them such as silt.. So, how do you get ores? you have to do the following: look through all the chests, and hope to god you have a flare gun. Because the copper pickaxe can't break anything under the cavern layer, you have to get lucky. Now, to get ores, what you want to do is grab your newly acquired flare gun and SMASH that boi right into the ores. This thing is so good. You can break not only ores, but trees with it, which the copper axe can't do. The only use for the copper axe is to clutter up space, and you can't even sell it for anything. The flare gun is a multi-tool, but at the cost of it being extremely rare. I searched 20 worlds thoroughly, and I didn't find a single one. And because of that, there has to be alternatives. Because you will never find the flare gun, you need to grind out all of the silt, fossils, and slush that you can. I would recommend the fossils, just because you can get better stuff with them, and trying to use silt and slush will break your extractinator.

Biomes
The following biomes will be covered:
-Forest
-Snow
-Jungle
-Crimson
-Corruption
-Desert
-Mushroom Biome
-Hell
-Oceans
-Space
-Underground
-Caverns
-Dungeons
-Underground Snow
-Underground Crimson
-Underground Corruption
-Underground Jungle
-Underground Desert
-Meteorite
-Bee Hives

Forest
The forest is where you start out. You spawn in there, unless you get extremely unlucky and spawn in either the snow, desert, on a floating island, and maybe the jungle. Although this is the starting area, you have to be very careful. Everything is out to get you, even the guide. Although he doesn't seem that bad at first, he will do all that he can to ruin your experience. The developers made sure that all of his "advice" is really just ways for you to die, and the worst part is that he opens the doors at night to let all of the monsters in, and kill you. He is the real monster here. This biome doesn't have a huge variety of enemies, but they are still very difficult. You have the Green Slime, Blue Slime, Purple Slime, and Pinky during the day, the Zombie, Demon Eye, and Raven during the night, and on the outer thirds of the world, you have the Goblin Scout, and, stupidly enough, the King Slime himself can spawn in to terrorize you. The Ravens only spawn in during halloween, so they aren't to big of a threat. Starting out with the daytime enemies, you have the slimes. Although they are the first enemies you will see, don't be fooled.

24px-Green_Slime.png
- Green Slime:
This is probably the hardest enemy in the game. It has 200 health, 100 attack which multiplies by a factor of how much health it has left, such as 180 health would make the slime deal 110 damage, as the slime is losing 10% of its health, so its damage is multiplied by 1.1. This will be the same for every enemy. It is immune to attacks from any weapon or tool made from ores. If you see one, hide.

24px-Blue_Slime.png
- Blue Slime:
Unlike the other slimes, this slime doesn't jump at you. It has 20 attack and 140932 health. It has the flying nimbus AI, making it fly over you and drip on top of you. If you see one, hide under something.

24px-Purple_Slime.png
- Purple Slime:
This slime will bounce at you. It has a base 400 health and 25 attack. However, if this slime comes in contact with any other slime, including slimes bigger than it, it will absorb the slime. Once a slime has been absorbed, the purple slime will change its hue slightly based on the color of the slime, gain health based on the size of the slime, and gain size based on the size of the slime. If a king slime is absorbed, the purple slime will gain a crown based on the amount of absorbed king slimes. Once defeated, it will explode into all of the absorbed slimes. If two purple slimes come into contact, the bigger one will absorb the smaller, unless they are the same size, where the absorbed one is random.

15px-Pinky.png
- Pinky:
The smallest slime in the game. It has 25000 health and 37 attack. It will combine the behaviors of the other slimes (except the purple slime) into one and use them against you, cycling through them in a random order. This slime is basically a miniboss, but it has a pretty rare spawnrate.

26px-Zombie.png
- Zombie:
The zombie is actually a pretty good friend. Although it looks threatening, it is your friend, as long as you ignore the rotting flesh and blood. It just wants to give you a hug, and will heal you if you touch it. Just make sure not to make fun of it or hit it, as it is immune to all damage and will attack you. If you are careful, it's just a troubled yet friendly individual.

27px-Demon_Eye.png
- Demon Eye:
This looks like a miniature Eye of Cthulu, but it doesn't act like the boss. Having 150 health and 40 attack, It kind of just mindlessly drifts around near you, sometimes hitting you. Just make sure not to leave them alone, as they will duplicate into more, get more aggressive, and acquire more acquaintances the longer you leave them alone.

16px-Raven.png
- Raven:
This enemy will only spawn at night during the halloween event, so it isn't something that you would really need to worry about. It has 125 health and 44 attack. Once you get near it, it will start a pumpkin moon event, and if multiple are aggroed the pumpking moon will go up in a wave. It works as a pretty easy way to farm for pumpkings, however.

19px-Goblin_Scout.png
- Goblin Scout:
This enemy will only spawn on the outer thirds of the world. It has 75 health and deals 75 damage, giving up some of its endurance for strength. Once defeated it will call on its comrades and spawn in one of every goblin, except for the tinkerer, and in hardmode it will spawn in a goblin summoner. Once defeated, it will drop some tattered cloth, which can be used to start goblin invasions.
