What boss do you have to beat before being able to purchase adamantite? Having trouble unlocking them and am wondering if I missed a boss or to early in the game.

You have to defeat mech bosses to unlock hardmode ores. Adamantite/Titanium needs all 3 bosses defeated.

It's just a novelty item that you can sell for 10 gold.

Well it's now fixed. Greater luck potions now sells for 1 plat each

does hephaestus sell modded ores?

Unfortunately no. Selling items from other mods is quite a treadmill work and I don't have much time for making mods now.
