Why are such files not allowed while other members have them in their threads? I record videos with OBS 26.0.0.

At the moment, .mp4 files are not able to be attached. The two examples that you linked are .webm files.

Okay, but the two examples videos are mp4 files upon download. And how can I make .webm videos and add them to my threads?

Looking into it. Normally, we don’t allow any videos to be uploaded (linked to or embedded, yes, but not uploaded). So it’s best if you upload the video elsewhere and then link to it.

Edited to add in the final conclusion - having webm files able to be uploaded was an oversight, and has been fixed now. Video files (that can get rather large in filesize) aren’t something that we want to host. It’s much preferred if members use a video hosting site and then link to it.
