Mobile ZV's Playthrough Five (FINISHED)

The Destroyer
Anyone who has known me for some time might know of my four playthroughs I did, one for each class (in order: ML-RG-MG-SM), which were all done with the "base" gameplay (Softcore character, Classic world) and updated with profile posts. After seeing some random posts about various weapons and stuff, I was encouraged to start a fifth one, this time a little bit different than the last four. Not only is the world different, but I'll also be updating this playthrough through this post instead, which means you won't have to scroll miles down my profile to find the old four.
IMG_9022.png

As you can see, instead of normal worldgen I'm using a "floating island" one that was made by @Agzam4. LINK HERE. So far, to my knowledge, this is the only one of its kind, an altered form of world generation that happens outside the game and is compatible with the mobile version of Terraria, so obviously I simply had to try it.
I don't have any major plans for this playthrough apart from getting a few random weapons that have garnered my interest, either due to already having used them in previous ones or due to simply thinking they're cool, alongside weapons that I obtain in the playthrough itself. These "highlighted weapons" are:
  • Bloody Machete (OBTAINED - RETIRED)
  • Flamarang (OBTAINED - RETIRED)
  • Drippler Crippler (OBTAINED - RETIRED)
  • Toxikarp (OBTAINED - RETIRED)
  • Chain Guillotines (OBTAINED - RETIRED)
  • Flying Dragon - end goal (OBTAINED)
As such, this playthrough will mainly be melee-oriented though I will likely find some non-melee weapons (including the usual summon for a minor DPS boost) that will be added to the list
(most of this stuff is just lore btw)
Name: Christopher "Alsnanch" Malsen
Age: 28
Gender: male
Height: 177 cm (5'10")
Weight: 68 kg (150 lbs)
Lore 1: A lone "mercenary" of sorts, he's a local within this very sparsely-populated area, and one of the few who actually have power over the region. What we know so far is that his favourite color is a dark, faded purple — based on his clothing — and that physically he's a lot stronger than he looks. Alsnanch rarely talks, so we don't know much about him, but he has told us his real name alongside a request to "always use the nick'." We've since gotten confirmation that Alsnanch is indeed a pyschopath, but even he himself is surprised that he still manages to function normally despite this. At one point we've observed one of his fits of rage and concluded that he is deadly when in such a state, but, similar to the Black Ghost, is extremely reserved and when Alsnanch is not in combat he respectfully asks everyone to stay away for their own safety.
Weapon: Vonadal (represented by Flying Dragon) — A large sword made of high-end composite materials and metallic alloys. Using only minimal magic power, its edge is doused in flammable liquid and is then ignited to create shockwaves that pass through gases, liquids, and solids alike, making sure to leave the surroundings unaffected while harming the intended target(s). Alsnanch claims that — as an emergency-only measure at his most unhinged point — he can disable the environment protection magic by redirecting it to purely the offensive capabilities of the weapon and cause far more destruction than what the Vonadal is normally capable of. This ability, known as the Sonic Inferno due to the shockwaves reaching hypersonic speeds, thankfully did not need to be used at any point in the past.
Lore 2: Rumours have said that after meeting with the Black Ghost, Alsnanch's equipment was upgraded and has recieved significant reinforcements made of Cosmilin, making them lighter and stronger than before. After joining the Black Ghost's group of chaos, he has stated that the chance of the Sonic Inferno being used will increase due to them eventually facing wilder threats than those he had defeated.
Name: Shattered Skies
Lore: A small section of the planet of Terraria, known in ancient texts as the region of Sharanga-Sharakhin, where a fault in magic has caused the ground to shift in various directions, creating floating islands of various sizes. It's a sight to behold, but because fall damage is a thing, it's treacherous to navigate for many people. The abandoned buildings clearly show that Sharanga-Sharakhin was formerly inhabited prior to the magic fault. Its residents are lost to time, but they were noted to have a vastly different building style compared to almost all other regions on the planet, which may be the reason why this area seems to be getting more and more visits from curious explorers. Even the Lihzahrds, known for their extremely uniform building style, diverge into a different design of temple here, while the bees go wildly out of control and create wavy hives arranged in a vertical line. Due to the difficulties in navigation and its overall isolation, Sharanga-Sharakhin has become a favourite point for all kinds of hermits looking for peace and quiet, but also makes it more dangerous as outlaws can hide from the law here. With only a few people having proper control or authority here, this place truly is chaos incarnate.
Other: As mentioned above, this world uses alternate world generation. This has some upsides and downsides:
  • There are heart crystals, chests, money piles, and other things right out in the open. This is a huge W, since it means I won't have to deal with the problem of searching for hearts like the last four times. Life fruits and Plantera bulbs are going to be a bit harder to find, but thanks to the openness of the world it's much easier to navigate around to get to them.
  • On the other hand... fall damage. Yeah, until I get wings or a lucky horseshoe, expect the sheer number of fall damage deaths to be insanely high.
  • The overall vibes are great. I like how most if not all biomes have an individual style for their floating islands, and the structures have their own custom designs too, which will get revealed as I progress. In particular, the dungeon having a built-in arena is a MASSIVE W.
  • There's no oceans, so if I ever wanna get Duke Fishron drops, I'll just have to cheat them in. Not a big issue since this world will likely require cheating anyway, more information on that in the spoiler below.
Hate it or not, it's a given. This world isn't ideal for proper playthroughs, there's a few things that I'll have to cheat in, but most of them are only if I get really stuck. Note that the "cheat packs" below are sorted by gameplay progression and a cheat pack's given number may change over time.
  • OPTIONAL CHEAT PACK 1: Lots and lots of iron and/or lead. I didn't find a lot in this world, and if I still won't, then I'll just grab some (300 to 500 bars should be enough) so I can make basic stuff. No longer needed because I can just buy anvils from the merchant and then dump them in the shimmer for iron bars.
  • OPTIONAL CHEAT PACK 2: Lucky Horseshoe, or, if really unlucky, Fledgling Wings. Fall damage is going to be a major pain in this world. I'll probably be able to find one or the other in a chest at some point, but if not, then I'll have to import them. If I progress slow, then it's only the horseshoe, but if I'm really stuck with no further way to progress reliably, then it'll be the wings. Progress was good enough that it's no longer needed. Overridden by Mandatory Cheat Pack 1.
  • OPTIONAL CHEAT PACK 3: Hellstone. I haven't checked if this worldgen formed it or not. If not (or only in low quantity), I'm going to slap in enough for the Flamarang, full molten armor, molten pickaxe, and whatever else I may need. No longer needed, I got enough Hellstone to make everything.
  • MANDATORY CHEAT PACK 1: Harpy Wings ✅. For the sake of my sanity, no more fall damage once I enter hardmode.
  • OPTIONAL CHEAT PACK 4: Hardmode ores. This depends on how much spawn when I bonk some altars. There may be a shortage so if I can't get enough for normal crafting then it's importing time. I managed to get enough for all of my needs.
  • OPTIONAL CHEAT PACK 5: Water in buckets. Used for making a fishing pond so I can get the Drippler Crippler during a blood moon. This world has very little water so I'll have to cheat some in if there isn't enough. Not needed, I vastly overestimated the amount of water I needed.
  • OPTIONAL CHEAT PACK 6: Bloody Tears ✅. Used for grinding blood moons and the Drippler Crippler.
  • OPTIONAL CHEAT PACK 7: Gelatin Crystals ✅. Used for grinding Queen Slime.
  • MANDATORY CHEAT PACK 2: Life Fruits for max HP✅. Needed for my "personal requirements" to fight Plantera.
  • MANDATORY CHEAT PACK 3: Fishron Wings. Through my previous playthroughs, I have noticed that I absolutely NEED these for the Moon Lord fight, and cannot beat him with any inferior set of wings. I basically only use them to dodge a death beam coming from below, anyways.
  • OPTIONAL CHEAT PACK 8: Soaring Insignia. Mostly for fun, will only be obtained after the ML kill, and more or less used for character lore stuff. Is not included in the uploaded character file though.
  • VANITY PACK ✅: Not really "cheating" to be honest, this is just for finishing the character's visual appearance. This mostly includes vanity armor, accessories, and especially dyes. Done at the start of part 6.
  • The world's name is a direct reference and shout out to the fourth game in the Ace Combat franchise. This playthrough has no relation to it at all, but "Shattered Skies" is really cool to say, and besides, it fits with the world's theme, so I'm keeping it.
  • The character is a reference to... let me explain, it's a hyperfixation thing. In Russia and many former Soviet countries, there is a form of railway signalling called ALSN. This forms the first half of the name. In Cyrillic, this is АЛСН, which, if read as if it were ordinary Latin letters, would visually resemble "ANCH". Combine the two and you get ALSNANCH. It's kind of jerky to say it, but who cares, I needed a character name and this was the best I could come up with.
    • Also, If I ever get bored of Zenithspeed (extremely unlikely, but it's a non-zero chance) then it'll be my next username, though likely with some numbers slapped on the end or whatever, since it's only 8 letters long and only features letters, so just "Alsnanch" will likely already be taken, especially on more popular sites (e.g. Roblox)
Enough yapping though. Onto actual playthrough progress.
2024 Oct 22 or 23
Starting the playthrough, immediately met with a gold coin stack, chest, and heart crystal (see image above). Great start honestly. I eventually lost half of my cash due to careless fall damage, so I just deposited it into a chest until I could get a piggy bank.
IMG_9023.png

Some exploring later, got a boomerang and already a very good amount of HP. There was a lot of wood and some lead, which are always good, but at the time of actually doing the playthrough, I suspected they'd be hard to find, and when writing this I would end up being correct for the most part. I don't remember much since this was a day or two later, but I remember getting a zombie arm and then a golden sword, buying almost a full stack of ropes, a few more fall damage deaths, some random resource finds, and a session with a featherfall potion where I found a lot of gems and gemcorns, some underground corruption shenanigans (it was low enough that I even got attacked by some imps and a voodoo demon), and overall just a lot of goodies. The gems especially allowed me to stack up riches, so huge stonks moment right there. I also found the jungle temple on the very surface, so at least that's easy to get to, and hopefully the dungeon will be similar. Alongside getting a few handy accessories like the red baloon, hermes boots, and cloud in a bottle, I also got bullied by harpies a few times which further reinforced my immense hatred towards them and wyverns. (:red: both of them)
IMG_9024.png

I'll have to be efficient with my materials since I'll need to bridge a lot of distances, and I'll mostly use surplus stuff for that, though platforms are really easy to make anyways. For "efficient" NPC housing, shoutout to picnic tables and whoever suggested me to use them around the time of the 2nd, 3rd or 4th playthrough. Also, yes, right now I look like an absolute dork but once Chippy the Clothier arrives I'll get the familiar set to return Alsnanch to his original look. I may also get some armor and other vanity accessories on him, but that mostly depends on if I can work out what dyes actually fit him.
Here's the map for this part as well:

2024 Oct 25
Part 2 started with some rather uneventful exploration until I got hit by A :red:ING SLIME RAIN. It overall wasn't too bad though. Since it's Halloween time in-game I got the Bloody Machete from one of the slimes. I initially dismissed it as just "oh cool, limited weapon"... that is until I tried it. It's actually very good for the pre-boos stage of the game. It has slightly higher damage than my enchanged boomerang, slightly less range, and is affected by gravity, BUT it moves way faster. This would be crucial later on where I could just spam attack enemies that are at close range. However, the many drops on this map means that if I get a shot wrong it's a long wait until it returns (luckily I still had my sword, because I believe in redundancy supremacy). After some exploration including a desert expedition and a minor trip to the jungle (did get sharpening station though, poggers), I got the "Space Creature" (Xenomorph) vanity from a goodie bag alongside the crimson closk from travmerch, and then found an EoC summon, and honestly I thought I was ready to face off against our favourite floating mega-eyeball. I ended up crafting 2 additional summons for grinding (and eventually found a 4th one later), and boy did the Bloody Machete shred EoC hard.
IMG_9028.png

I got the mask on the first kill, and, after a few more, enough demonite to get the Light's Bane. After that, I did some more shenanigans, then went on a corruption expedition to grind EoW. I was technically "successful" in my first attempt, I got enough pieces down that I could get full shadow armor, however EoW managed to escape and despawn with only 46 health left (which I'd presume would be as one of those twin-section worms), so I had to do a rematch just to get a confirmed kill. Before that, though, I GOT THE BALL O' HURT :)))))))))))) (also the shadow orb and black kitty <3)
IMG_9029.png

Aside from crafting full demonite stuff and expanding my base, that's basically it for now. I probably did some other things I don't really remember after this, but nothing noteworthy as far as I know. Here's the current state of the character and NPC hotel:
IMG_9030.png

And, as usual, the map:
IMG_9031.jpeg

Next goal will likely be to get down to the underworld and get hellstone so I can make the Flamarang. I still kept my enchanted boomerang for this, and I know from my melee playthrough that the Flamarang (alongside basically all flails) are... kinda OP.
I'm also gonna make cheated-in wings mandatory once I enter hardmode. It's literally only for the sake of my sanity but I won't go with anything crazy. I already have a giant harpy feather in storage so once WoF is down I'll immediately import some Harpy Wings from my main world. Before that, though, I still need to get the Flamarang and defeat Skeletron, so this is mainly just me thinking ahead.
2024 Nov 2
Even though I only had around a third of my usual free time today, I managed to fit in quite a lot of action into this part, including some notable stuff. I'm writing this later at night so I won't remember everything, but that's to be expected given how bad my memory is anyways. But, the first thing I remember doing was going to the underworld and grab some Hellstone, which to my relief was in abundance (this was also confirmed by Agzam4 — thank you very much!). I did get shredded by demons, fire, and especially THOSE DAMN LAVA BATS a bunch of times, but in the end I got the Flamarang... with a shoddy modifier :')
IMG_9190.png

As with at least one of the previous playthroughs, I'll be using minecarts instead of making a usual hellbridge, with the terrain making it both more challenging but also more fun to do (also train obsession goes brrrrrrrrrrr lmao). I then grinded for molten armor, which did take a while but I eventually got it. As my last hellstone thing, I got the molten pickaxe.
Before that, though, I went to fight Queen Bee for some random loot. The first half of her HP I actually chipped off while she was enraged in the surface jungle, zooming past me faster than an SR-71 on full afterburner. After I took enough damage, though, I dropped down and finished her normal, non-enraged form. Right as I got the kill a blood moon started, there's not much I can say about it though, not much happened during it, though if I'm correct I did find the Tavernkeep after it ended, which is good since I'll need OOA to get the Flying Dragon (which is arguably one of the main "goals" of this playthrough). I'll of course also need the blood moon in mid-early hardmode to get the Drippla' Crippla'. (yes I actually say it like that lmao)
IMG_9191.png

I was super happy that I could get the hornet minion so I can finally mine ores without having to fend off the damn bats every half a second. After that, I was kinda set on getting a MoneySucker 9001 Pro goblin tinkerer so I could get my Flamarang buffed. Even with the Shoddy modifier, though, it still outclassed all my previous weapons. Once I get to the Dungeon and obtain a Shadow Key I'll replace my corruption flail with the Sunfury, but since I went to the Underworld pre-dungeon, the pre-hardmode section of this playthrough won't be too hard anymore. Planning aside, I eventually got a natural goblin army spawn, beat them fairly quickly, then went underground and quickly managed to find the tinkerer.
IMG_9192.png

After reforging my Flamarang and some of my other stuff to a good modifier, getting Spectre Boots (FLIGHT 😈), I went and did some exploring. This included a trip to the western end of the world, where I found and used 3 teleportation potions, though the first two led me to places I had already been to (the first one was even where I had went during the "expedition"!) and the third one lead me to the underground snow with fairly poor results, all I really did there was get some mana crystals, only for character lore (Alsnanch is somewhat capable of using magic in my lore, unlike, say, Alexander Delson from PT2, but he doesn't do so most of the time — I do plan to get him to, say, 160 mana, though). During this journey I also found some life crystals, so now I'm only one short of getting full non-LF health. Sometime around this, I also decided to do some temple cheesing in case I could get some random loot. I went with the usual hammered stair hoik, and while I could survive for some time, it was clear that I'm obviously not supposed to be here yet. I do like the overall temple design in this worldgen though, the hanging fire pots, palladium columns, and muddy/grass bits really add some nice detail to it.
In the end, I also made an obsidian skull so I could once again make one of my favourite character appearnces (full shadow armor + obsidian skull), though this is only temporary and only for vanity — I'll probably make an obsidian shield once I loot the dungeon, though. Overall, this part of the playthrough had a lot of goodies despite having been alloted less time than usual. Here's the final character state and the map as normal:
IMG_9195.png

(I mainly changed the loadout from I to III for the red/pink colored background, nothing else lol)
The map is getting quite hard to fit in one screenshot now, especially with the western expedition and the teleportation potion bringing me to the underground snow.
IMG_9194.jpeg

I don't know when the next part of the playthrough will come, school is absolutely destroying me both mentally and physically, and even on Saturdays I have less time than usual to play, for various reasons. I also hope that 1.4.5 won't come right in the middle of this, since I really wanna experience all the new content but also don't want to make this playthrough "awkward" by switching game versions midway through. If 1.4.5 arriving around that point is the case, though, I'll most likely pull what I did once with Juno: New Origins, and postpone updating the game until I'm done with the playthrough (my patience dissociation has gotten noticably better since then)
2024 Nov 9
Kicking this off with a blood moon, I finally got the Money Through so no more having to deal with piggy bank stuff. Also managed to farm some banners and whatnot, so that's nice.
IMG_9398.png

I then decided to expand upon my EoW arena and repurposed it as an all-around arena, mainly for mechs. I'll be interested to see how Moon Lord turns out in this, seeing as my usual tactic of Arena? The whole world is my :red:ing arena!" will be far less effective (though Flying Dragon will certainly be helpful with that). For now, though, it's decently sized and will be great to fight the mechs in.
I then went east to find the dungeon. The great thing about the worldgen is that the dungeon gets a pre-built arena, only needing optional stuff like lighting, campfires, and heart lanterns. I only bothered with torches since I knew I would demolish Skeletron anyways.
IMG_9399.png

As expected, Underworld-tier gear absolutely shredded the bone boi. It was now time to jump down into the dungeon itself, which also got a pretty cool redesign with new hazards (including venom dart traps :zombie:) and whatnot, but also a crap ton of pots that made it a bit easier to get keys. I found the mechanic early on, and would later also find a stock Blue Moon (which replaced my Ball O' Hurt) and a stock Muramasa (which will get exported to my main world anyways), alongside a Bewitching Table (more summons yippie) and Alchemy Table (I basically never use buffe but it's nice to have). Sadly no Cobalt Shield even though that's really what I need right now.
IMG_9401.png

Later, I found the Shimmer and had an extra life fruit so I just converted that into the Vital Crystal after I made sutiable protection for myself.
IMG_9402.png

After getting a shadow key, I went down to the underworld to grab some stuff. Unfortunately, I only really got a bunch of garbage. A few Dark Lances (which are outclassed by my Flamarang and Blue Moon anyway), some other random stuff, and SO MANY :red:ING TREASURE MAGNETS (actually useless). But not a single Sunfury, which I was really hoping to get. Oh well, there's always the Drippler Crippler once I get to early hardmode.
However, I did find something interesting. If I had a penny each time there was an instance of shadow chests giving me OP hardmode gear way before they're supposed to be obtained, I now have two pennies. (the first one was from pre-1.3 mobile, no joke you could get the Drax from shadow chests back then lmao)
IMG_9403.png

I actually found three in total:
IMG_9404.png

IMG_9405.png

I think I only took one, but if I'm ever in need of money I'll probably grab the other two and sell these for loads of cash as I don't really have a use for them (I did also get a stock Demon Scythe though, which is another thing to export once I'm done). And for those who haven't figured it out already, yes I'll be doing a mage-oriented playthrough for PT6 (using this worldgen again ofc) where my main goal will be to get one of these tridents. I'm still furious (haha get it) about no Sunfury though.
After that, there was a goblin army attack that I quickly shredded, and also got some accessory changes meaning I now have even more mobility.
Since there's not much else to do, part 5 will officially be the entry into Hardmode, and I predict most of time will be spent trying to make a railway through the janky (but also really cool looking) terrain of the underworld. After that, I'll likely be able to get WoF first try (I have trust in the Flamarang, it better not let me down) and the rest of that part will likely be spent mining altars and ores plus farming for souls. We'll see what happens, until then, see ya next time, folks.
IMG_9407.png

And the map:
IMG_9408.jpeg
2024 Nov 16
Pretty much everything went according to plan and then some extra. I started with the minecart track in the underworld, which, like before, ended up being way too long. But it's fine, it still serves well for general transport.
IMG_9557.jpeg

I got two dolls in the end so I fought WoF twice and killed him both before reaching one quarter of the entire track.
IMG_9558.png

I got the Breaker Blade on the first try, which I'll later find out is indeed pretty... broken. The second kill got me a Laser Rifle, so I just sold that since the first WoF kill barely even gave me any money.
As mentioned previously, the entrance to hardmode meant it was time to unbox Mandatory Cheat Pack 1 and get myself harpy wings. They're good enough for this stage, though now I'm wishing for a better grappling hook as I still have the most basic one.
After that, it was time to bonk some altars and re-establish Wraithville once again:
IMG_9559.png

I had to bonk a few more than usual in order to get an actually useful amount of adam, and thankfully Wraithville was quickly demolished as well. While huntin' and gatherin' I got a hallowed key, pretty cool but no use to me both because it's too early and the fact that the Rainbow Gun kinda sucks iirc.
IMG_9560.png

Now, you may have noticed that I still had one golden key, and luckily the chest I decided to use it with had the cobalt shield, so I yoinked that thing as soon as I saw it. Hooray, no more dungeon business until post-Plantera! One thing I didn't mention is that this worldgen actually has both evil biome chests, meaning I could set up an artificial crimson biome and grind for its key to get the Vampire Knives, but that most likely won't come to fruition.
IMG_9561.png

Anyways, after getting full adam-armor I went to fight Queen Slime, and while she's an optional boss I've fought her in all of my previous playthroughs since her stuff is simply so good at this stage, and for a guy like me with terrible skills it is vital that I get stuff like the Blade Staff and the flying slime. And let me tell you, I dunno why but this was one of the most fun boss fights I've ever had in Terraria, the combo of this wacky arena + QS's mechanics just made it really fun. For some reason I managed to dodge most of the projectiles pretty reliably and consistently even though my mobility was kinda meh. It did take a while with my Flamarang and two crappy hornets, but in the end I did get the kill:
IMG_9562.png

OOOOOOOO BLADE STAFF GIMME GIMME
IMG_9563.png

YIPPIIEEEEEE!!!
After this, I fought her again. I got another Blade staff so I just sold that for more money. After this, it was more messing around, though nothing worth reporting on. I did start to use the Breaker Blade however, because even though I was skeptical at first due to its range, it being the largest sword in the game meant it was still a lot more comfortable than something like the Cutlass (which, back in the 1.2 days, I tried to kill Destroyer with. LMAO indeed). And besides, I'm not gonna pass up on an opportunity for 250+ damage in the right situation. Its base damage is also the highest of my current weapons (100), though my Flamarang (~70) and Blue Moon (~75) are all better suited for this environment due to their range. It does work better than them in cramped spaces though.
Now, for the plans. To my knowledge I don't have a lot of homework tomorrow, so I might be able to get another playthrough part in next day. I'll mostly be grinding for the Drippler Crippler there, but I'll first have to set up a fishing pond (which will take a while because water isn't common in this worldgen) and get a decent enough fishing rod. This will probably be followed with some arena refinements (more platforms and less spacing + more lighting), trying to get the QS mount, and maybe a mech fight or two. I'll also probably set up Alsnanch's visuals up and expand his lore. Aside from that, right now things are going pretty well.
IMG_9564.png

I've cropped the map so that you only get areas I've actually been to and done stuff in, and I've also marked the approximate generation of the corruption and hallow.
IMG_9565.jpeg
2024 Nov 17
What started out as a playthrough part intended for some quick messing around turned into EIGHT HOURS of relentless grinding, but with results that were damn worth it in the end. I'm talking about accidental progress and getting two of the highlighted weapons at the start of this post.
I started by finishing Alsnanch's appearance. I couldn't get the colors exactly how I wanted them to be (the saturation would be a lot lower) but purple+black dye was good enough. I'm also going to be using the adamantite leggings as vanity once I get hallowed armor. One thing to note is that I did cheat in a stopwatch and DPS meter purely for the sake of convenience.
I did also get the Skeletron Prime summon, and would end up getting a few more later alongside crafting one each of the other two mech bosses.
IMG_9567.png

Next, I made a fishing pond to grind for the Drippler Crippler. I overestimated how much water I needed, but it would get the job done. Since it was located in the corruption, it is also suitable for getting the Toxikarp, another highlighted weapon. While it would take me 3+ hours of fishing to get the former (and never got the latter during this part), in the meantime I also beat Dreadnautilus a few times, and on the first or second kill I got the Sanguine Bat Staff, which may or may not be better than the Blade Staff — I honestly don't know — but it was a full replacement anyways.
IMG_9568.png

In the meantime, I was also grinding QS for the mount and doing other things, such as building a house near the arena and connecting that and the NPC hotel with a short railway track. I got an automatic Twins summon once, and surprisingly managed to beat them unprepared like this. This is good news for Skeletron Prime and Destroyer (will be in part 7) since it also means this crappy arena is at least suitable for the mech bosses.
IMG_9569.png

I would later end up getting a Destroyer auto-summon too, but I decided to pull a save-and-exit since fighting the mechs really wasn't in my plans and I was getting increasingly frustrated at not being able to get the Drippler Crippler. Finally, though, after so many hours and cheated-in Bloody Tears... I FINALLY GOT IT.
IMG_9570.png

After getting the Drippler Crippler to Ruthless, I fought Queen Slime a few times, needless to say she got shredded hard. At this point, I was MAD and desperate to get the flying slime mount, so I resorted to cheating in 10 of the last Gelatin Crystals from my main world's storage. I had to fight QS seven times before I got the damn thing, but at least I did get the teleporting hook, which was a well-needed upgrade to my basic one. I then sold the remaining 3 summons for some extra cash.
After that, I headed to the underground corruption, hoping to get the Chain Guillotines. After yoinking three water candles from the dungeon and spreading them out to cover a large area, a mimic spawned soon enough and thankfully it dropped on this first try. Phew indeed. Also no need to reforge, I'm more than happy with a Ruthless thank you very much.
IMG_9572.png

So, this was pretty much it for today. My longest part of this playthrough yet, starting near 9AM and ending around 5PM (17:00). A ton of grinding with worthwhile rewards in the end. Overall, I am... satisfied.
Part 7 will of course be the remaining mech bosses, alongside grinding for the Toxikarp, since I think it will start to become underpowered around Plantera. The Drippler Crippler will remain powerful for a long while, even if as a secondary or tertiary weapon, while the Chain Guillotines I only really got for fun, but I do wanna test out how good the damage output on it is. As usual, I don't know when it will come, but even next Tuesday is possible, since I usually don't have a lot of homework on Tuesdays, as my Wednesdays are filled with some "filler" classes, but as always, we'll see.

Pfffttttt, Tuesday? I'm doin' this one, early, because hell yeah!
I started by getting the Toxikarp... I'll be honest though, I got it yesterday after finishing writing part 6, seems like I still had some rage left in me to grind, so I did. Luckily it didn't take that long and I also got Unreal on it after a few reforges so that's nice. Anyways, onto what actually happened in this part. Mostly mech abuse and getting ambushed by a bajillion moss hornets (honestly :red: them. yes, more than the turtles. those guys you can at least avoid. these guys are just straight up menaces with god level aimbot. actually broken.) while searching for chlorophyte and trying to make some kind of arena for Plantera.
First off, the mechs. Piece of cake for most of them.
Destroyer was really easy, the arena was open enough that I could get to the coiled-up starting position four times and get it down to like 10% of total HP. Saved me a lot of hassles for sure.
IMG_9577.png

Next, the twins. Definitely the hardest of the bunch, with a lot of close calls, but I did manage to get a bunch of fights in in just one night.
IMG_9578.png

I managed to just barely squeeze in one Skeletron Prime fight, leaving a few spawners that I never got to use in this part. Still, it meant I could get the Pickaxe Axe and get to mining some chlorophyte.
IMG_9579.png

Both the Chain Guillotines and the Toxikarp have proved to be quite effective at the mechs, especially the against the Twins. As for chloro mining, I had previously found and marked some large deposits and found a few extra ones, this was enough to get a helmet and chestplate but not leggings. Later on, I'd also get enough turtle shells to make two sets of turtle armor, but still lacked the chloro, so I ended up swapping my chloro armor for turtle since it's better anyways.
IMG_9580.png

Of course, I also later cleaned the entire jungle with the Clentaminator so that Plantera wouldn't get enraged in the corruption. I did also clean the desert that was affected too, including a trip to the pyramid high in the sky. Back underground though, I was busy getting rid of parts of rope bridges (I only kept the platforms), adding torches and healing stuff, blowing some ground up, all while getting constantly shredded by turtles, hornets, and both types of hardmode skeletoms. I didn't completely finish it today, but will continue doing so in the next part.
Speaking of the next part, it's of course gonna be taken up by fighting Prime a few more times, getting enough cholorphyte for full turtle armor, then fighting Plantera and exploring the dungeon. It'll also be time to set up an OOA arena so I can get the Flying Dragon — my final highlighted weapon — once I beat Golem, though doing so will only be in the next part (I'll likely also try to get some stuff from them ayyliens, including my beloved UFO which I'll need for LC+ML)

Sorry to disappoint the... ~two people who follow this playthrough, I wasn't really feeling well mentally (idek why, nothing too bad happened today and in fact i have a Roblox car game update to look forward to on Saturday) and overall was not in the mood for such extreme gameplay.
I did beat Skeletron Prime on the remaining 3 spawners, did some final Plantera preparations, and got enough chlorophyte for both turtle leggings and a chloro extractinator. I did also make an OOA arena and fought a "demo fight", getting to the beginning of the final wave before the crystal was destroyed — I honestly didn't expect to last this long, especially after the flying enemies started spawning and chipped off major health from both me and the crystal — so that was a W for me overall. Also, fun fact, this is the first time I've ever done an OOA fight that wasn't the tier 3 (post-Golem) variant, so it was interesting to see the weaker versions of the OOA enemies I'm used to grinding to shreds with the Zenith. I started with the fireball towers (all-rounder ones) but I didn't like how they all fire together when multiple are spawned rather than firing whenever they can (which would result in a much more constant damage outptut), so after I got 15 defmeds I changed to the landmine one (whatever it's name was) as the ballista is too slow in firerate while the lightning one has no damage. This also meant I had access to the tier 2 version of the landmine. Based on testing with regular enemies its "firerate" is pretty bad but it does have decent damage and a lot of knockback, so we'll see how it goes. I'll post some random pics that happened after everything, then I'm off to play my comfort games (which, for those who don't know, are train simulators :D)

Finally back to continue this playthrough. I actually started the day with some train simulator stuff, only started just before 1PM. Anyways, I started with preparing to get the Terra Blade — more specifically the True Night's Edge and True Excalibur, its two main components — as I realized my current stuff, such as the Drippler Crippler, just isn't going to cut it if I were to face off against tier 3 OOA. As such, I decided to craft the Ol' Reliable weapon of this game. Starting off, the TE was easy enough: I had plenty of hallowed bars to make the basic sword and getting 24 chloro bars didn't take too long over all. It's remarkably powerful at this stage of the game, with good damage and swing speed, huge range, and decent piercing capability. It reaches less DPS than the Drippler Crippler on my damage testing area, but it reaches this damage much more consistently and over a larger area.
IMG_9789.png

The TNE was... a bit more of a hassle. As you know, the Night's Edge was the original Ol' Reliable sword, and can still be treated as such during late prehardmode. It needs 4 component swords, obtaining them varies in difficulty significantly. I already had the Muramasa in a chest, so I began with getting the Blade of Grass, arguably the hardest and most tedious to get, as vines, one of the materials for it, are dropped by pre-hardmode Man Eaters, which are mostly displaced by their hardmode upgrades, which do not drop vines. I had already gotten more than enough stingers and jungle spores, but getting 3 vines took a while. The rest were luckily a lot easier. The Light's Bane was next, only requiring demonite bars so I just bonked some shadow orbs and shredded EoW like it was cake, then went on to craft it. Finally, the easiest of the bunch, the Fiery Greatsword AKA Volcano. Literally just hellstone. It was kind of a hassle to collect and bring lava to my fishing pool to get enough obsidian to actually craft the bars, but in hardmode, bombs (or at least dynamite for sure) can actually destroy hellstone, making it much easier. Finally, I took these four to my preserved demon altar to get the main sword, then back to my crafting stations to yoink some mech boss souls and make the TNE. Unlike its counterpart, it's a lot more underwhelming, with a very slow swing speed, somehow lower damage in spite of this, and a gimmicky projectile that people LOVE to hate on.
IMG_9790.png

Alongside these two, I also cheated in some life fruits since my jungle is tiny (or, more specifically, the temple takes up a large part of it) and I am not gonna spend hours to get to max HP. As such, I just grabbed my main guy, teleported around my main worlds and yoinked enough for full HP plus one extra for the shimmer upgrade, and then just did a transfer.
After that, though, it was Plantera time. I already had a bulb near the arena so all I needed was some minor preparations and it was off. As expected, it was fairly easy, I used a lot of my weapons, though the True Excalibur did noticably take from the spotlight a lot. I also got my final uses of the Toxikarp in, since it would no longer deal enough after this stage of the game it'd get put in my piggy bank after this.
IMG_9793.png

Next, it was temple time. I had already hoiked in a long time ago, so it was just a matter of "I am actually strong enough to get through this" now. All I did was gather as many power cells and solar tablet fragments as possible, while also blowing the whole inside of the place up in order to get rid of spikes. I also went to the dungeon to maybe get something (was really hoping for a wisp) but I got nothing. It was then time to do some eclipse grinding to get the Broken Hero Sword and some other goodies.
On my second Mothron kill, I got lucky and was given two drops at once:
IMG_9794.png

Pretty epic. A few more kills later, and I got triple rewards from one Mothron.
IMG_9795.png

Unfortunately, though, a few minutes after this my battery ran out. I have been in this session for a while, with the last save&exit being just before starting the grinding, and what was worse, I had autosave off (I usually turn it off so that I can abuse reforges). No biggie, I had already technically done it so I just cheated in a BHS and the wings and continued on (not gonna include this in the cheat pack stuff, it wasn't really intentional, but whatever).
I had also found a second bulb in the temple (lol) so I fought Plantera in the Golem arena. It was a bit rough since I started off with like 150ish HP from the traps and the small room meant I got constantly hit by the spiky boulders, but I managed to get the kill in the end. Got some great stuff too, such as some new summons which were well overdue. The pygmies are pretty good from what I've remember, and even if they aren't, it's not the end of the world; they inflict venom, which is awesome.
IMG_9796.png

I then did one or two more eclipse(s) and got myself a Death Sickle, which I'd basically use in a similar way to the Toxikarp, creating a "barrier" of projectiles for the clueless enemies to walk into, now with wallpass. The Terra Blade, of course, still kicked :red:, as always.
Some time around or before this point I also wanted to get some new accessories since I still had a lot of prehardmode stuff. This started with getting the Mechanical Glove, which I wanted to upgrade into the one with the free fire debuff, but I was dumb enough to get rid of a random-dropped magma stone just before deciding to get the new accessories, and grinding the underworld bats didn't grant me any, either. So, I then went out on a little expedition to the west, mostly near space level, to find a band of regeneration that I could combine with a philostone to get the Charm of Myths, which would hopefully help during the Moon Lord fight. To finish things off, I extended the OOA arena in both directions, and also removed the raised platform for the crystal stand
Overall, this part of the playthrough was kind of just wacky, but I still enjoyed it overall, despite me making an absolute fool of myself multiple times. Next will of course be Golem, getting the Picksaw (and hopefully the wisp too), and grinding martians for the UFO and other stuff (and although I do like it, I already know the Influx Waver won't make it to the highlighted weapons list, since it's not really that interesting apart from its projectile's on-hit gimmick, and its overall DPS is pretty low even if we factor in that it's a single-target-oriented weapon, which is pretty unique, all things considered — still, I'm just not interested in it right now). Most likely won't do LC or pillars that early, though it's entirely possible that I'll do a "quick run" to get the Ancient Manipulator alongside fragments for my beloved Solar Eruption.

Lot of grinding in this one, but I finally got what I came for :)
Started off with grinding for the Fire Gauntlet before Golem, didn't get it so in the end I just grabbed a Lava Charm in one of the underworld chests and shimmered that to get a Magma Stone. Here's my overall Golem setup:
IMG_9802.png

First fight was very close, don't really know why, but I won in the end. I guess I was just overconfident or something, dunno. I shredded him on all other attempts before just deleting the power cells at around 6 remaining (of 13 total) since I had more than enough beetle husks and money. Crafted full beetle armor with the shell (is it even worth it to get the offensive one lmao) and continued on my way, grinding OOA and the martians next.
For them aliens, I'll be quick: I got a bunch of Laser Machineguns, one Influx Waver with Legendary on it (pretty cool, but as said in the part 9 ending, I wasn't interested in it), and a few other stuff, pretty much sold everything seeing as I was in a bit of a money shortage, and the martians are really grindable anyways. I did of course get the UFO mount, so it was finally time to get rid of the winged slime (which I honestly didn't even use that much — last time I did was on one of my final Golem fights where I just bashed his noggin repeatedly, before that nothing, I basically only used it for mechs since that's where it's "meta" anyways).
My first successful completion of OOA T3 — once again a close one — gave me the spinny wand thing, it's a cool weapon and actually out-damages my Terra Blade in terms of DPS, but the primary (spin) and secondary (3x electric shock things) attacks should really be swapped and the range on it is crap.
IMG_9804.png

Somewhere in between I got a run where I got killed at the very end but managed to still win because Betsy was at like 200 HP, lol
IMG_9805.png

Later, I'd upgrade to a combo of the landmine and the fireball turret, as even though I originally dismissed the latter for the inconsistent damage I still needed range in order to get some extra DPS against Betsy. Alongside this, I also swapped my chestplate and leggings to the Valhalla Knight ones. And BOY is it overpowered, the chest's regeneration boost is absolutely insane, while the pants are just great all-around (I use it on my main, mainly to get rid of the solar armor shield but also because the stats are just better). I've heard so many praises for the Valhalla Knight chestplate's OP regen but only now have I actually been able to try it myself. It's a little weker than what I expected but it's still really good, definitely using it for Moon Lord.
And, after a lot more grinding (with what I can recall is 1 more spinny wand, 2 Betsy's Wraths, and 1 Aerial Bane, + possibly more), I finally got it...
IMG_9806.jpeg

The end goal of this playthrough, a busted OP weapon, one of my favourites in the game overall, I present to you: THE FLYING DRAGOOOOOONNNN!!!
And, to be honest, this is pretty much it. I didn't do much else after this, aside from getting it to Legendary. It can get up to 10000 DPS with my setup, which is double the Terra Blade's amount in my target dummy arrangement. I'll do some extra dungeon grinding after writing this to try and get the wisp (similar to how I grinded for the Toxikarp between part 6 and 7), but if I don't, no problem, since the FD's projectiles have max-brightness lighting so they double as a really good lighting tool since they also have wallpass.
Next part will of course be LC and the towers alongside the Solar Eruption and Stardust Dragon. I'll also try and get the Xeno staff in the meanwhile since that's arguably the best summon at this stage, and I'll also cheat in Fishron Wings at the start (Moon Lord will be left to the part after that).

A bit of a short one, but it was going to be a quick thing anyway, it's literally just Cultist and pillars. I started by doing Martian Madness again, luckily got the Xeno Staff on the first try. I didn't really need it that much, but it was still nice to have.
IMG_9825.png

LC was quite a cakewalk, even with not having have campfires or heart lanterns set up. I didn't get a screenshot but once the world file is up you'll see the exact spot I killed him. The pillars were of... adequate difficulty. I managed to beat all of them with little trouble, and the Flying Dragon's projectiles having wallpass was really effective when I was taking cover behind a floating island. I grinded the pillars a bit and crafted six ML summons for the time being, though next time I'll likely grind more and make even more of them. I did of course also get the Solar Eruption and Stardust Dragon Staff, the latter is of course just an all-around good choice. Also, I got a banner for pretty much every tower enemy, so that's also nice.
Other than that, there's really not much to talk about. After this there will likely be another longer period of inactivity due to IRL reasons, but I am honestly clueless at this point. Anyways, as mentioned, Moon Lord will be the main focus point of part 12, and after that's done I'll do some character & lore updates, and post the files for both.
IMG_9831.png

No map this time, since barely anything changed other than some parts of the map becoming brighter because of the Flying Dragon's projectiles.

After a long absence I finally came back to this so I can finish it. Really all that was left is Moon Lord, though I did also get the minecart speed boost beforehand, just because it's fun. I died on the first attempt, where I managed to get all eyes out and deal a decent bit of damage to the core, but I took too much damage from, well, everything, and got caught on the hands. No worries, on second attempt I got him easily. The Valhalla Knight chestplate made this a lot easier than before, it's only now that I discovered how powerful it is. The tactic was the usual, but it was made interesting with the terrain. In the second fight I lead ML from my old arena all the way to the dungeon, lol.
IMG_0335.png

Overall, this playthrough was fun. The worldgen was interesting, even if I couldn't experience absolutely everything it had to offer. Once again thanks to Agzam4 for that.
IMG_0336.png

IMG_0337.png

Here's most likely the final version of the character. All I really did was swap the beetle helmet with a solar one, alongside upgrading my wings.
IMG_0338.png

And the map. Unmarked, this time.
IMG_0339.jpeg

PT6, if it ever happens, will likely be in 1.4.5, and by that time I'll have converted my main characters and worlds to journey mode (since Alsnanch is slso a part of my own lore universe thing, he'll be affected too). It'll be with this same worldgen, and most likely will be a magic-oriented playthrough with a female character to mix things up a bit. As I've mentioned though, it will be a while until we get there, but I can wait.
If you want to check them out, the files for Alsnanch and Shattered Skies will be in the replies, though do note that the chests at spawn have been "gutted", i.e. had usable materials and stuff transferred over to the chaotic storage in my main world.
And, with everything said, I declare Playthrough 5 completed.
That's all for this post itself. Feel free to discuss, give tips for the future, or roast me in the comments or whatever. All progress updates will be in the spoiler sections, but I have also updated some of them in comments.

I removed Lucky Horseshoe and Fledgling Wings from world generating to make exploring of world more harder and intresting (but you still can avoid fall damage using potions, double jump items, umbrella, hooks and etc...)
Hellstone generating in a big amounts (frequency of it depends on the biome above hell)
Obsidian can be obtained by destroying towers in hell or using lava/water dupe
In my 2 players playthrough I had enough hardmod ores for armor sets (but despite the armor of these ores, I used Crystal Assassin set)
We defeated the moonlord (in mastermod) on a minecart

thanks for the information, makes sense why i couldn't find any of the two anti fall damage accessories, but nevertheless i'll continue on :)

part 3 is out after a longer delay, i would've updated sooner but i was too involved in lore stuff at the time (for those curious, i was making a total revamp of Zenith's spaceplane)

All dungeon loot must be generated in the dungeon
Each biome of dungeon has 3 chests with a unique loot

Flying islands has big potential for beautiful houses
Here are the houses during my playthrough:

It's a little sad that you found the pyramid in the hardmode because it spoiled the impression of its exploring (importance of traps and mining is greatly reduced)

playthrough has been completed after a while of nothingness, part 12 is a short one but it has some information, also updated the lore and whatnot

i'd upload the character and world files but it doesn't let me for some reason
